Jon and Rita Rackley attended high school together where they collected Sago and Asparagus sprengeri seeds for Jon’s FFA project.
Later they married and Jon began school at the University of Florida where he graduated in 1971 with high honors.
Shortly thereafter, they bought 10 acres of land in Eustis, near Orlando, just in time for the impending Disney boom.
After 50 years of business and great service to Jon’s many satisfied customers, those first 10 acres have grown to over 200 acres.
Jon’s Nursery has always strived to grow quality plants and provide great service to a customer base that extends west to Texas and north to Virginia. The company is proud of its excellent management, sales, and production staff.
Jon’s Nursery currently employs over 80 people, many of whom have been with the company for decades.
